You know, I tend to agree with ...That's funny. You know, I tend to agree with you about the extended warranty, especially when it comes to electronics. More than likely, you'll replace it before you ever need the warranty. However, when it comes to cars, I am a little bit more for the extended warranty.

Interesting story. Several years ago, I was looking around for a new (used) car, and when I stopped at one dealership, I fell in love with this little four door compact. Turned out, it was a Hyundai Elantra, it only had 15,000 miles on it, and was only a couple of years old. I bought the car, and after six months the slave cylinder and the master cylinder for the transmission went out. (It was a straight shift.) Well, I called the 800 number provided in the owner's manual, explained the problem, and they said no problem. (At that time, we didn't have a Hyundai dealership in town; the closest one was four hours away in Albuquerque.) Anyway, they sent a tow truck within an hour, picked the car up, took it Albuquerque, and fixed everything...for free. (It amazed me because I was a second owner, but they gave no grief whatsoever about the repairs.)

Well, needless to say, I have been a loyal Hyundai customer since. I'm on my fourth car, and every time I've had any kind of problem, they've taken care of it. And it doesn't hurt that they have a standard 100,000 mile/ 10 year warranty for the engine and the transmission. But since I will probably be keeping my car, which I bought brand new, for ten years or more, I think the extended bumber to bumber warranty was worth it.

Still, ya gotta be careful... These businesses will try to sell you anything.

GA LanhamGA Lanhamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08119785968044213212noreply@blogger.com
